This Privacy Policy explains how GameIt.Lol (“GameIt”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Services, including merchant accounts, QR campaigns, game experiences, and analytics.
1. Roles: Merchant vs Player
GameIt provides campaign and gamification tools to Merchants. When Players participate in a Merchant campaign, the Merchant typically determines what information is collected and how it’s used for that campaign. In many cases:
- Merchant: controls the campaign and Player data collected through it.
- GameIt: processes data to operate the Services and provide analytics.
2. Information we collect
When a Merchant registers or logs in, we may collect business and contact details such as business name, contact name, email address, phone number, and authentication/session information.
When a Player registers for a campaign or is identified by a Merchant, we may process information such as:
- Phone number
- Name
- Email (optional)
- Instagram handle (optional)
- Points totals and participation stats (e.g., games played)
We process gameplay and campaign interaction data to run games, prevent abuse, and provide results and analytics. This may include campaign identifiers, game type, score, points earned, session duration, completion status, and prize/reward fields configured by the Merchant.
We may collect device and usage information such as browser/user agent, device platform, IP-derived region, and related diagnostic data.
3. How we use information
- Provide and secure the Services (authentication, abuse prevention, fraud mitigation).
- Operate campaigns and games (validation, tracking completion, awarding points as configured).
- Provide analytics and reporting to Merchants.
- Maintain and improve product performance and reliability.
- Communicate with Merchants about their account and service updates.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention may vary based on Merchant configurations and legal obligations.
6. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of personal information. Players should typically contact the Merchant running the campaign first, since the Merchant may control the campaign data. Merchants can contact us via support channels in the dashboard for assistance.
9. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Merchants are responsible for ensuring their campaigns comply with age-related requirements.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify Merchants.
